2009-06-17 -- Moving sucks.

But hopefully this will be the last time I have to do that for a long time… Just bought a house!

However, that (both the buying and the moving) totally disrupted just about everything in my life, and is threatening to continue doing so for the better part of the summer as I get all the boxes unpacked and used to the mortgage payments. Not to mention, summer is the absolute most busy time at work. *sigh*

I did get a few pics the other day, though…

West Yard East yard Patio
West yard – with horrid weed problem. Going to have to take care of these terrible dandelions soon. Thought I’d put in a tiny garden down by the edge of the house. East yard – The part of the yard that I’ve sort of had a chance to work on. I put my butterfly bush and my new blueberry bushes down here. No idea what else yet. Might hold off on many plants this year.

Patio - We've been eating a lot of meals out on the covered patio. We had a patio at the old place, but we didn't have a shed, so the patio was generally always overflowing with junk.
Herb bed Greenhouse Bee Tree
Herb bed – Brand new. This was grass not more than 2 weeks ago. I think eventually I’ll take all of the grass out of this area and replace it with stepping stones and herbs. Greenhouse – This is THE awesome! Despite my lack of time, I’ve had a chance to plant oregano, thyme and rosemary seeds in here. Doing OK so far. Bee Tree – There’s a honey bee hive in a knothole waaaaaay up in the top. Not much I can do about it, but I’ll probably be happy it’s there when I have a chance to put the garden in. Of course, by then they’ll probably have moved on.
