This is a painting that I made of one of the pale pink and yellow columbines that continue to come back year after year in the shady corner of our back yard. The medium is acrylic (matte) on canvas. I feel like I would like to try painting this one again to bring out a bit more of the depth of the flower.
I am very ready for spring! I saw that the hardy fuchsia has started setting on new growth… seems kind of early, but it has been a strangely mild winter so far. I also started cleaning out the greenhouse today in preparation for seed starting… soon! Very soon! And hopefully we’ll see the return of the columbines again soon as well.
