This is a goldfish painting on a rock, this version original by me, but based on a canvas painting that I did during a guided painting class. For rock painting, I clean and dry the rock, then use glossy acrylic paint to create the art. I coat the entire rock in paint to help keep a seal, then after the art layers are completely dry, I paint the rock again with clear acrylic gloss, to help protect the art from the elements.
This particular rock painting went to my Aunt, who has a delightful collection of goldfish in her little back yard fish pond. I believe that the fish rock is now living in the garden near her darling fish. 🙂
