This is a painting that I did of an owl in a tree with the moon behind. It’s acrylic on canvas. I have to be honest, here, I got the original painting idea from another artist’s painting that I saw when searching the web for inspiration. I’m taking it a step farther though, as I am doing a series with the same tree in different seasons. So far I have done a summer tree (with a bird perched atop), a fall tree (with a squirrel climbing up–actually did two versions of this one) and then this one with the owl. I am still pondering on how I want to do the spring one… blossoms perhaps? I think they would look neat together as a series/progression.
